About Salamat

“Helping People Help Themselves”

     Salamat Central Asia is a non-profit organization developed to help meet the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of the citizens of Kazakhstan.  Kazakhstan is the most modern nation in Central Asia, and is developing into a world economic leader.  Salamat Central Asia desires to partner with the government of Kazakhstan and other private agencies to be at the forefront of developing healthy and productive citizens.  Our organization wants to help people help themselves, especially in the most underdeveloped and economically stressed regions of Kazakhstan.  The founders of Salamat believe that it is better to give a person a fishing rod than a fish.  For that reason, almost all of the activities of this fund are directed at medical, educational and micro-enterprise development.  All of the current projects are focused on long-term development of the societal infrastructure.  As the foundations of the economy, the society and the people are strengthened, Kazakhstan will prosper.  In turn, securing a bright and successful future for the next generation of citizens.

    The current staff of Salamat Central Asia consists of an ESL professor, two business development specialists, a sports system consultant, and two medical nurses.  The staff is dedicated to fulfilling the responsibilities outlined in the official company charter, which is attached to this web page in Russian and English.   Please feel free to download Salamat Central Asia’s charter and read through it.  If the goals of this organization interest you, Salamat Central Asia welcomes offers of aid, comments and suggestions concerning any of the fund's work in Kazakhstan.  Please contact the Salamat staff by sending an email to Salamat2@securenym.net.
